  • Boater in need of help

We all enjoy time on the water when there are no other boats in sight, me included. However; these guys on Lake Houston got my attention waving an orange flag. Turns out their engine had died and would not restart. They said they had plenty of fuel. (I always carry a spare 5 gallons of fuel. It's a pontoon boat so I have the extra room. Why not?) We towed them back to the marina and all was well. I'm going to find an orange flag like they had. I'm not sure I would have seen them in distress had they not had that bright attention getter. A loud horn might get my attention but I'm nearly deaf so maybe not.

Robert, the marine standard is to wave a orange life
Jacket over your head signaling help needed.
Work fascinates me, I can sit and watch it for hours.
